"Innovation China" stands ready to promote economic digital transformation in Shanghai

An "innovation China" program was launched at Xinwei smart valley, a base of economic digital transformation in Changning District in east China’s Shanghai 

Song Jun, executive secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and Chen Mingbo, deputy secretary-general of Shanghai Municipal People's government, attended the launching ceremony.  

A research project of a regional pilot zone incubator for the integration of science, technology and economy was launched by Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST) at the end of 2020. With “new style” and “small size” industries as the feature of its economy, Changning District was chosen as one of the five pilot zones in Shanghai of the research study.

Leading officials in Changning District attached great importance to CAST’s brand program “Innovation China”, and actively promoted the integration of science, technology and economy into practice. At the launching ceremony, PICC Investment Holding Co., Ltd. and SCMITZ Co., Ltd. reached an agreement on reconstructing office buildings to provide better services for S&T innovation, and the Chief Technology Office Union (CTOU) of Hongqiao smart valley in Changning District was announced to be established.

Leading officials of the SAST and Changning District attended the launching ceremony and visited the special exhibitions of artificial intelligence, blockchain and intellectual property.
