On 16th<\/sup> December, the Kingdom of Bahrain<\/strong> celebrates its 50th National Day<\/strong> and the 22nd anniversary of King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s presidency<\/strong>. The country has made considerable strides in the political, economic, development and social spheres under King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa\u2019s leadership, whilst making significant progress towards achieving the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Day celebrations this year come amid notable national achievements that created a development renaissance led by King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Under his majesty\u2019s visionary reform project \u201cThe National Action Charter of Bahrain\u201d, the country is fast-establishing a modern and diverse economic structure.<\/p>\n

Through reform initiatives led by the King, Bahrain has been able to create a society based on participation, citizenship, belonging and national identity, and to promote rights, freedoms and duties.<\/p>\n

The reform project has made it possible to achieve human, economic and social development based on and aimed at building people, capacities, and mobilizing resources with the aim of achieving basic requirements across the various areas.<\/p>\n

The industry sector has made a significant contribution to the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, where there are well-developed industrial zones with distinct infrastructure, operating in the aluminium, petrochemical, metallurgical, engineering, food and pharmaceutical industries.<\/p>\n

W7Worldwide<\/strong> further stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has been very successful in diversifying its economy away from oil, encouraging investment into sectors independent from energy, becoming a regional hub for many multinational companies, establishing advanced communication, transport and communications structure, and creating a flexible legislative structure that stimulates investment, including anti-corruption laws, and facilitating licensing.<\/p>\n

Bahrain has made its citizens the primary priority of its people-first development programs and has adopted advanced development plans, including targeted projects and programs in all areas, as confirmed by the United Nations Human Development Report, which lists Bahrain as part of a group of countries with high human development. In addition, the Kingdom of Bahrain has also moved beyond the political, economic and social empowerment of women and employment equality.<\/p>\n

According to the Global Competitiveness Report, Bahrain advanced to the third position internationally for tackling organized crime, fifth for its meritorious police service, and seventh in reduction of murder crime rate.<\/p>\n

Bahraini\u2019s diplomatic international relations have strengthened and established the Kingdom of Bahrain as a land of tolerance and non-violence ethics.<\/p>\n
