With already more than 100 members from around the world and growing rapidly, the strength of the ecosystem and its impact continues to increase.<\/p>\n<p>Leading Cities understands the necessity to implement profound transformations in communities to mitigate the devastating effects of climate change and other major threats to humanity from inequality and poverty to health and social cohesion. Tackling these challenges requires a collaborative approach. LaunchPad 11 was created to virtually convene, on a daily basis, leaders, innovators, pioneers, investors, cities, and other stakeholders. Sharing in this commitment to drive sustainable change, Leading Cities has partnered with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, QBE, and other organizations to establish this groundbreaking approach to clustering for change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve waited for an entire generation for a traditional cluster dedicated to sustainability and resiliency to organically emerge, but in any one city, a smart city company may have just one client. The nature of this industry requires a new and alternative approach to clustering,\u201d said Michael Lake, President and CEO of Leading Cities. \u201cI believe deeply in the power of clustering.
