Since the damages caused by traditional, automatic fire extinguishing systems in Data Centers, where the noise caused by these equipment (not the fire) is mostly to blame for the damage to these equipment, where the noise they produce affects the delicate structure of the hard drives, making it the major cause of the loss of data. \u201cIn this case we developed a specific and completely new technology dedicated to Data Centers, where noise from the extinguishers is reduced to a minimum\u201d, thus preventing the destruction of the most precious assets of such sensitive sites: the data.<\/p>\n
Another major concern this Firelab has come to dedicate much of its resources to is in dealing with false alarms. \u201cWe all know what it\u2019s like to be awakened in the middle of the night in a hotel, rush down 12 flights of stairs to the street in your pajamas, only to discover minutes later it was a false alarm\u201d, says Leonard Fusser.\u00a0<\/p>\n
