{"id":4172,"date":"2019-03-14T12:10:29","date_gmt":"2019-03-14T11:10:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thesmartcityjournal.cibeles.net\/sin-categoria\/canakkale-receives-tarragona-on-the-common-european-project-for-smart-cities\/"},"modified":"2019-03-14T12:16:26","modified_gmt":"2019-03-14T11:16:26","slug":"canakkale-receives-tarragona-on-the-common-european-project-for-smart-cities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thesmartcityjournal.com\/en\/cities\/canakkale-receives-tarragona-on-the-common-european-project-for-smart-cities","title":{"rendered":"\u00c7anakkale receives Tarragona on the common European project for smart cities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The mayor of \u00c7anakkale,<strong> \u00dclg\u00fcr G\u00f6khan<\/strong>, recently received the deputy mayor of the City Council of Tarragona and the director of the Tarragona Smart Mediterranean Region Foundation, <strong>Bego\u00f1a Floria<\/strong>, accompanied by super manager <strong>Gustavo Cuadrado<\/strong>, leading the Tarragona delegation with whom the Turkish city participates of a <strong>common European project<\/strong> on future of smart cities.<\/p>\n<p>Called <em>&#8216;Partnership for the future of smart cities&#8217;<\/em>, the project has as an objective the exchange of experiences of governance and singles projects between the two cities<strong> World Heritage<\/strong>, and is part of the call <em>&#8220;Town Twinning Actions&#8221;<\/em> Within the subsidy scheme of the European Union (<strong>TTGS<\/strong>) with a budget of 100 thousand euros.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Sustainable and efficient&nbsp;Technology<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Both cities have shown <strong>Satisfaction<\/strong> for theese first meeting to opening and developing the strategy of the project for the <strong>Association of Smart Cities<\/strong>. In addition, the Turkish representatives, who will soon return the visit coming to <strong>Tarragona<\/strong>, haver been very interesed in the structure and operation of the <a href=\"exito-del-tarragona-smart-foro-2019&amp;catid=35&amp;lang=es-ES\">Tarragona<\/a> as well as his own management in projects such as <strong>Tarragona Open Data Lab<\/strong>, the regulation of zones of parking or the the Way.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"text-align: center;background-color: inherit;color: inherit;font-family: inherit;font-size: 1rem\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thesmartcityjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Canakkale_3_1.jpg\" alt=\"\u00c7anakkale 3 1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition, taking into account the historical legacy that also has the Turkish city with remnants of the <strong>Battle of Troya<\/strong> and have been the site of the First World War, <a href=\"smart-cities-and-smart-tourism-a-narrative-on-tourism-in-turkey&amp;catid=20&amp;lang=en-GB\">\u00c7anakkale <\/a>has shown special interest in various aspects to the areas <strong>&#8216;smart heritage&#8217;<\/strong> of Tarragona and her technological treatment of the <strong>historical heritage<\/strong> of the city.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cities we need to create faster and more efficient solutions aimed at the <strong>needs of the population and technology<\/strong> allows more intelligent, sustainable and efficient cities,&#8221; said <strong>G\u00f6khan<\/strong>. In addition, <strong>Floria<\/strong> estimates that &#8220;it is an important and interesting project for the two cities and it will be essential to increase the knowledge and experiences at european level.
