Tverskaya Street &#8211; from the <strong>Kremlin<\/strong> to the <strong>Garden Ring<\/strong> falls under the solid outdoor coverage of the first 5G pilot area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"zte-wins-the-2018-global-5g-infrastructure-technology-leadership-award&amp;catid=16&amp;lang=en-GB\">5G development<\/a> agreements were signed with the four largest mobile network operators in Russia.They suggest implementation of the <strong>pilot projects<\/strong> aimed at the development of the new digital technologies and communication services in Moscow, that aim to open up fundamentally new opportunities. A higher data transfer rate along with broader bandwidth will encourage the development of the Internet of things, autonomous transport, remote medicine and many other cutting-edge technologies that will make the lives of citizens even more comfortable, \u201d &#8211; said <strong>Minister of the Government of Moscow<\/strong>, head of the Department of Information Technologies <strong>Eduard Lysenko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>first Russian 5G zone<\/strong> was deployed in the center of Moscow in the 28 GHz band in the <strong>NSA<\/strong> (Non-standalone) mode, which allows deploying <a href=\"us-green-light-apple-prepares-5g-mmwave&amp;catid=25&amp;lang=en-GB\">5G <\/a> networks and simplifies the implementation of the latest standard at the initial stage. <br \/>The networks of the new generation will be implemented in <strong>VDNH park<\/strong>, Vorobyovy Gory and in the <strong>Skolkovo Innovation Center<\/strong> in partnership with the <strong>Russian &#8220;Big Four\u201d operators<\/strong>. Business and residents will have the opportunity to test new 5G-based services, while the telecom providers test the technology itself.<\/p>\n<p>5G is the new generation of standards for mobile networks. The technology features high data transfer rates, large capacities and ultra-reliable connections with low latency which is crucial for development of Internet of things. For the first time 5G technology was applied in Moscow during the <strong>World Cup in 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Information Technologies of Moscow (DIT) has been rapidly developing and actively growing for the past 5 years. During these years we have created over a <strong>thousand systems and services<\/strong> and we are pursuing the target of launching around 300 new projects annually. Today, we are proud of having digitalized over 166 state services, this is obviously more than any other region of Russia. Moreover, within the last years we have created an outstanding number of 178 portals, including the official Mayor and Government of Moscow web-site <strong>&#8220;mos.ru&#8221;<\/strong>.
