The interactive smart cities’ device TOMI, present in about 100 cities in Portugal, Brazil and Chile has implemented a feature to help raise awareness of the Coronavirus using its DOOH capabilities, in order to deliver updated and reliable information, made available by the Portuguese Directorate-General for Health.<\/p>\n
Given the seriousness of the new Coronavirus, TOMI takes an active role in prevention and is committed to helping in prevention and awareness, sharing official and reliable information, made available by the Portuguese Directorate-General for Health.<\/p>\n
As a way of preventing contagion, interactivity will be disabled on the devices, and users are asked not to touch the TOMI temporarily. During this period, TOMI will share reliable information, such as recommendations, preventive measures, and important alerts, in collaboration with the Portuguese Directorate-General for Health.<\/p>\n
The initiative is already implemented in the Lisbon network, in coordination with the MOP, Lisbon City Hall \/ EGEAC and Metro de Lisboa, as well as in the Algarve, Figueira da Foz, \u00c9vora, \u00c1gueda, Angra do Hero\u00edsmo (Azores), Guimar\u00e3es, among many others cities in Portugal. The action continues to be implemented gradually.<\/p>\n
TOMI thus works as a means of communicating Coronavirus prevention measures, and provides last-minute alerts, as well as automatic and remotely published updates.
