El informe tambi\u00e9n deja claro el papel que pueden desempe\u00f1ar los big data en la recuperaci\u00f3n y la medici\u00f3n de las dimensiones econ\u00f3mica, social y medioambiental del turismo.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"article-title\">Los datos refuerzan la capacidad de tomar decisiones<\/h2>\n<p>El turismo sufri\u00f3 en 2020 la mayor crisis de la historia.<strong>&nbsp;Las llegadas internacionales cayeron un 73% en 2020<\/strong>. En&nbsp;<strong>2021<\/strong>, es probable que la ca\u00edda sea del&nbsp;<strong>70% y del 75% respecto a los niveles de 2019<\/strong>. Mientras el sector trata de recuperarse, los datos y la inteligencia de mercados resultan fundamentales para mejorar la preparaci\u00f3n de los destinos, las empresas y los trabajadores del sector tur\u00edstico en un panorama en constante evoluci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<strong>La pandemia de COVID-19<\/strong>&nbsp;tambi\u00e9n ha acelerado el cambio hacia la digitalizaci\u00f3n y, por tanto, ha puesto de manifiesto la necesidad de disponer de inteligencia y de datos relevantes y fiables para gestionar el turismo.<\/p>\n<p>El informe conjunto de la&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unwto.org\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">OMT<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>y el&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">BAD<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>ayudar\u00e1 tanto a los gobiernos como al sector privado a complementar las estad\u00edsticas oficiales con big data y comprender mejor los cambios en el comportamiento de los consumidores y mejorar la recuperaci\u00f3n con productos, segmentos y mercados m\u00e1s definidos. El&nbsp;<strong>big data tambi\u00e9n ser\u00e1 clave para apoyar los viajes fluidos<\/strong>&nbsp;mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de protocolos de seguridad, tecnolog\u00edas de bioseguridad y certificados sanitarios digitales que permitan la reapertura segura de las fronteras.<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>El informe aborda adem\u00e1s algunos de los principales retos que impiden aprovechar plenamente el<strong>&nbsp;potencial de los big data y la digitalizaci\u00f3n&nbsp;<\/strong>para mejorar la pol\u00edtica tur\u00edstica. Entre ellos se encuentran la preocupaci\u00f3n constante por la privacidad, las carencias en cuanto a competencias, la fiabilidad de los datos, la inadecuaci\u00f3n de la gobernanza y la infraestructura, la brecha digital y las barreras de accesibilidad.
