Atenas, Venecia, Florencia o las ciudades hanse\u00e1ticas demostraron que n\u00facleos urbanos aut\u00f3nomos pod\u00edan ser motores de innovaci\u00f3n, comercio y cultura.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hoy, megaciudades como Singapur, Dub\u00e1i, Londres o Se\u00fal y muchas m\u00e1s funcionan, en la pr\u00e1ctica, con una l\u00f3gica cercana a la de una ciudad-estado. O lo que ser\u00eda m\u00e1s parecido: ciudades inteligentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Las ciudades concentran talento, capital, universidades y tecnolog\u00eda.Gobiernan m\u00e1s cerca del ciudadano, lo que permite decisiones m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas y pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas mejor ajustadas a la realidad local.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Frente a los Estados-naci\u00f3n, a menudo lentos y burocr\u00e1ticos, una ciudad-estado puede experimentar, corregir errores y adaptarse con mayor agilidad. La competencia entre ciudades fomentar\u00eda la eficiencia, la innovaci\u00f3n y la atracci\u00f3n de inversi\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, muchos de los grandes retos actuales \u2014movilidad, vivienda, energ\u00eda, digitalizaci\u00f3n\u2014 son esencialmente urbanos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Las ciudades ya cooperan entre s\u00ed en redes internacionales, a veces con m\u00e1s eficacia que los propios Estados.
