<\/p>\n

Cuatro ciudades europeas \u2014 Bilbao, Hamburgo, Tesal\u00f3nica y Viena\/Linz \u2014 participan en un proyecto financiado por la Uni\u00f3n Europea que busca transformar la manera en que las autoridades de transporte toman decisiones sobre sus infraestructuras. Su nombre es MITHOS, y su objetivo es desarrollar herramientas de apoyo a la decisi\u00f3n para una movilidad m\u00e1s eficiente, segura y sostenible.<\/p>\n

El reto que aborda MITHOS es com\u00fan a la mayor\u00eda de las ciudades europeas: los gestores de infraestructuras de transporte trabajan con datos dispersos, herramientas desconectadas e informaci\u00f3n fragmentada. Planificar una mejora en una red de autobuses, evaluar el impacto de una nueva zona de bajas emisiones o decidir d\u00f3nde y cu\u00e1ndo intervenir en el mantenimiento de una carretera implica hoy un considerable esfuerzo de coordinaci\u00f3n \u2014 y aun as\u00ed, las decisiones se toman con informaci\u00f3n incompleta.<\/p>\n

Para resolverlo, el consorcio MITHOS \u2014 formado por 14 organizaciones de seis pa\u00edses europeos \u2014 est\u00e1 desarrollando una plataforma digital en la nube que centraliza datos de m\u00faltiples fuentes, los procesa de forma inteligente y ofrece a los decisores alternativas optimizadas y f\u00e1ciles de interpretar.<\/p>\n

Su arquitectura se organiza en tres capas integradas. En la base, un m\u00f3dulo federado de gesti\u00f3n de datos recoge informaci\u00f3n heterog\u00e9nea de sensores, c\u00e1maras, registros hist\u00f3ricos y fuentes abiertas europeas, estandariz\u00e1ndola mediante ontolog\u00edas y cat\u00e1logos de metadatos compatibles con los espacios de datos de movilidad. Cada ciudad mantiene la soberan\u00eda sobre sus propios datos, que se integran en el sistema \u00fanicamente cuando son necesarios, a trav\u00e9s de conectores estandarizados.<\/p>\n

Sobre esa base opera el Bundle of Fundamental Tools (BFT): un conjunto de herramientas de simulaci\u00f3n y c\u00e1lculo, que MITHOS mejora e interconecta. Herramientas como SUMO \u2014 para simulaci\u00f3n de tr\u00e1fico \u2014, COPERT \u2014 para el c\u00e1lculo de emisiones \u2014 o VEINS \u2014 para comunicaciones vehiculares \u2014 se integran en una plataforma com\u00fan, permitiendo analizar simult\u00e1neamente la eficiencia, la seguridad, el consumo energ\u00e9tico y el impacto ambiental de cualquier decisi\u00f3n sobre infraestructura. La innovaci\u00f3n no reside \u00fanicamente en la mejora de cada herramienta, sino en su interoperabilidad.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, un sistema de soporte a la decisi\u00f3n (DSS) basado en inteligencia artificial combina los resultados de estas herramientas para generar alternativas optimizadas, presentadas a los gestores a trav\u00e9s de un panel interactivo que permite explorar escenarios, comparar opciones y visualizar el impacto territorial de cada decisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Los cuatro pilotos cubren una amplia variedad de retos: desde la reactivaci\u00f3n de la v\u00eda fluvial del Nervi\u00f3n para la log\u00edstica de \u00faltima milla en Bilbao, hasta la mejora de la seguridad de ciclistas y peatones en Hamburgo, pasando por la reorganizaci\u00f3n de la red de autobuses de Tesal\u00f3nica tras la apertura de su metro, o la gesti\u00f3n del mantenimiento de autopistas en Austria.<\/p>\n

El proyecto, financiado por la Uni\u00f3n Europea en el marco del programa Horizon Europe, se desarrollar\u00e1 hasta 2029. Sus resultados estar\u00e1n disponibles con el objetivo de que cualquier ciudad europea pueda adoptar y adaptar la soluci\u00f3n a sus propias necesidades.<\/p>\n
