Clients of the bank may now download the app in Apple´s app store and use it in their smartwatch, allowing them to check on their accounts anytime and anywhere.

From now on, the clients of the leading Spanish bank may check on their accounts at any time just by tapping on their smartwatch. BBVA has developed an app specifically designed for Apple Watch that will allow the users to know the balance of any of their accounts.

This app does not only allow for online finance checks, but can also display the balance between incomes and expenses on the day, or in comparison to the last time that the user logged in. The access system is immediate, allowing the user to check on his or her financial status at a glance.

“BBVA has developed its Apple Watch app as another step forward in the path to convergence. No matter what specifications or preferences a user has, they will always be able to access their accounts from their channel of choice”, explained Eliseo Catalan, software engineer at BBVA.

This new app reflects the bank´s desire to make their client´s experience easier, empowering them to choose their ways to interact with the bank whenever they want, however they want, and with regard to their needs and circumstances.

As of now, the app is only available for the clients in Spain, but BBVA is working to adapt it to other countries in which the bank has established branches.
