Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 attracts more than 180 Italian commercial companies
A virtual political consultations session was held between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Italian Republic. The session was co-chaired by the Undersecretary for International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, Marina Sereni. During the meeting, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah hailed the qualitative progress of the Bahraini-Italian relations witnessed in the last few years, in the interest of the two friendly countries and people.
The Undersecretary for International Affairs noted the successful visit of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to Rome last February. He hailed the visit which bore fruitful results and laid the foundations for a developing bilateral partnership. He also mentioned the statement of the Crown Prince on July 16, regarding the importance of continuing to promote the strategic partnership with the Italian Republic in various areas.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah affirmed that the opening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Rome, and the launch of the Gulf Air line to Milan, reflects a determination to advance bilateral relations, on the basis of cooperation and mutual respect. He said that Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 has succeeded in translating its goals aimed at diversifying the sources of national income and attracting quality investments, indicating in this regard that the Kingdom of Bahrain attracts more than 180 Italian commercial companies.
He stressed the importance of following up the implementation of the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries, and promoting the existing coordination in order to consolidate regional security and stability. He indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, was able to develop a pioneering national model to confront the repercussions of the novel coronavirus.
For her part, the Italian Deputy Foreign Minister hailed the distinct relations between the two friendly countries, stressing the desire of her country to strengthen the constructive cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels, wishing the Kingdom further development.
